Through our services, we pledge a commitment to provide qualified and competent care with thoughtfulness and respect for our clients.

Arrival Time
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your service. This will allow you time to unwind and prepare for your service. New clients are asked to complete a holistic analysis form prior to receiving a service at The Root of You™. To assure that our staff stays on schedule and provide the utmost service for our clients, it is imperative for clients to arrive on time. We cannot guarantee services to clients who arrive 15 minutes or more later than their scheduled appointment time.

Please allow at least one hour between your last meal and your treatment. Additionally, you should avoid the consumption of caffeinated or alcoholic beverages prior to any body treatment. We also ask that you turn off your cell phone and pager while at the spa.

Cancellation, Reschedule and "No Show" Policy
A credit card or gift certificate number is required for clients scheduling two or more Spa services (Mon-Wed), all Thursday, Friday and Saturday Spa appointments, Hair Extension services and group appointments.

Individual clients are required to cancel or reschedule 24 hours prior to their scheduled appointment time. Cancellations must be made by speaking directly to a customer service representative, voicemail, or emailing clientservice@therootofyou.com.

Groups are required to cancel or reschedule with our Group Coordinator. Our group cancellations are as follows:

3 days for groups of 3-4
4 days for groups of 5-7
5 days for groups of 8-12
6 days for groups of 12 or more

If appointments are not canceled or rescheduled in the allotted time stated above, the following fees will be incurred by the client.

Cancellation Fees:

Credit Card Deposit -
       - $25 for services $25 and over; or
       - the cost of the service if service is below $25; or
       - 50% of Spa Package; or
       - Groups; 50% of all services (fee only applies to group members that cancel)

Gift Certificate Deposit - 50% of the gift certificate value

Please give us the courtesy of canceling or rescheduling your appointment.

Service Contraindications
There are contraindications for Spa treatments that include, but not limited to: pregnancy, infectious skin disease, high blood pressure, excessive or daily medication, epilepsy and asthma. If you have a medical condition or you are pregnant, it is imperative that you inform the reservations desk when making your appointment and your therapist.

Payment
We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Attire
For spa services spa robes, wraps and slippers are provided. Lockers are available for your personal use. Smocks are available for hair services. During spa services, your body will be draped at all times except for the area being worked on.

Lost Articles
We ask clients to keep up with their personal items during your visit. Lockers are provided for spa clients. We are not responsible for lost articles.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates purchased at The Root of You™ may be purchased for any of our products or services or any dollar amount. Our Gift certificates expire exactly one year from date of purchase. Gift Certificates must be presented at the time of your appointment for payment.

Gift certificates are non-transferable (except to purchaser) and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Children Under 12
To respect the comfort of all guests, children under 12 years of age are not allowed unless receiving services. We do not service children under 5 years old. Discount prices are not available to children.

Right of Refusal
The Root of You™ reserves the right to refuse service to any client for improper conduct. Inappropriate conduct or language during a service will result in the termination of the service. We reserve the right to define inappropriate conduct or language.

Discounts
Group Discounts
Groups of five or more will receive a 10% discount on the entire bill when booking a spa package Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Senior Citizen Discounts
The Root of You™ clients that are 65 and above will receive a 10% discount off of all services.

Groups
We can accommodate large groups. Ancillary services such as flowers, special gift baskets and outside catering are available when customizing your Salon and Day Spa Packages. To book a group contact our Group Coordinator.

Private Parties
We specialize in private parties no matter the occasion. The Spa can be reserved to cater to your group exclusively. Outside catering and music entertainment is available on request in addition to spa services. Private parties can be requested during none business hours. A 15% gratuity will be added for private parties conducted at The Root of You™ during none business hours (i.e. Mondays).
